I wanted to save a RedGIFs clip to my phone but the download button only gave me a weird file with no extension. After messing around, I found out you just need to add .mp4 to the end of the filename and it plays perfectly. It's a quick fix that saves you from using sketchy converters or browser extensions. Just rename the file after downloading and you're good to go.
